An increasing number of reports show how punitive laws and policies governing sex work, including criminalisation of some or all aspects of sex work, incarceration, demolition of red-light districts (due to punitive policy changes) and legal restrictions on where sex workers operate, elevate HIV acquisition and transmission risks.
