Moral Superiority

Post by Gallstones » Tue Mar 19, 2013 5:21 pm

What is it?
Is it a real thing?
Does it exist?
Is it ubiqutous across time and culture?

How can you recognize it when you see it?

If it is a real thing, where did it come from?
But here’s the thing about rights. They’re not actually supposed to be voted on. That’s why they’re called rights. ~Rachel Maddow August 2010

As morality is conditional on your society I would say there is a pretty big problem with saving one's morality is superior to another's. It's all subjective. Is it moral to eat a cow? Is it more moral to starve to death, leaving your infants to starve without you?

Morality is a fear driven expedient and agent of control. :coffee:

Might it be, inherent, in that it tends to occur in groups of social animals because it has survival value?

Morality is money or opinion is money?

With enough money morality becomes whatever your propaganda campaign says it is. :smoke:

Excellent.

How about power, does power establish morality or decide what is superior?

Also, it is true then, that enough people are passive/lazy/stupid enough to swallow the propaganda without thinking about it and the moral standards get established?

I think some people build power first, then start getting the money.

Money and power are pretty much synonymous.
