Effect preceded cause?

A strange inversion of entropy.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I guess that would imply entropy could
suddenly reverse with no prior cause, as the cause could then follow.

Didn't I already cover this topic exhaustively in page 13,346,108 of the Memento thread?

Possibly, but I was too young to understand it. Like, I wasn't born for another 4,672 years.

458 years before your mother then. Interesting.

I told you it was easy to explain.

Life, it seems to me, is nature's way of fighting, however futilely, against entropy.

Impactful insult 'round these parts, Madame Shitty.
What I mean is, nature doesn't have a way of doing anything, 'cause nature doesn't
do anything. Stuff just, y'know, happens.

Sure 'nuff Shirley knickers. I agree. However I find myself getting bored by our atheistic tendency to see everything in such stark utilitarian terms. A bit of wild speculation should not be discouraged or dismissed now and again.
So let's postulate a 'first cause' in our universe which somehow, terrified of the ultimate end of the universe - a cold death and the ceasing of all molecular activity, has tried to set up a system which is by nature programmed to fight like fuck against the all encompassing darkness to the very bitter end! Like - the constant cannonade ejection of LIFE from the uterus into the great unknown!

If so, this 'first cause' has cheated by creating life as an open system.

Well there's the rub. Perhaps it is desperate?
