Palliative Care For A Dying World
It is fairly obvious we are facing a mass extinction and any attempt to 'save the situation' will most likely backfire. Isn't it time to come to terms with the terminal illness of human infection? Provide care rather than waste energy and cause greater suffering trying to prolong what can't be prolonged? We need to move beyond the language of hope and accept there are somethings, certain catastrophes, which cannot be unspun. To learn compassion for the remaining life on this world as it slowly slips into oblivion is surely our task now?

Surely mass euthanasia would be a more cost-effective option?Crumple wrote:It is fairly obvious we are facing a mass extinction and any attempt to 'save the situation' will most likely backfire. Yes, if it's voluntary so it would be only humans walking the walk.Geoff wrote:Surely mass euthanasia would be a more cost-effective option?Crumple wrote:It is fairly obvious we are facing a mass extinction and any attempt to 'save the situation' will most likely backfire. If we're gonna die, might as well bring this bloody rock with us. I mean, like, why should we die and fish live? Just 'cause they're not smart enough to engineer their own destruction.
