Ffs, I'm not saying anti trump violence is being incited by Trump. Debating with you is a total waste of time.

Then what violence is being incited? It's really the only substantial violence that's occurring. The guy gets 15,000 to 25,000 people showing up at rally after rally after rally. One guy throws a punch, and you're all like "Trump incites violence" because of his "violent rhetoric?"

You're out of your mind, rEv -- so intellectually dishonest, it's not even funny.

So, you're not saying anti-Trump violence is being incited by Trump. Good.

Now, make your argument -- what violence is being incited by Trump, and what, exactly, is the rhetoric that incites it?

You've referred to one incident of one person taking a swing at one anti-Trump agitator. Anything else?

Oh, rEv isn't dumb. It's just some people have more difficulty than others realizing that their political beliefs turn out to be foolish lies.

Thank you crimmigrant rioters! Huge surge in Trump support as he hits 54% in California polls. 14 points since last month's poll. Remember to keep it up, only by rioting can you ensure a Trump victory and get that Wall built lol

The right wing echo chamber is not serving you very well.

Problem for you is that Keynesian economics has all the evidence behind it. Neoliberal crony capitalism hampers growth and innovation and entrenches inequality (which also hampers growth and revenue). Not that I have any idea what type of economics Trump actually stands for. I do agree with him that removing all protectionism is wrong. And agree with him about free trade beingn suboptimal, but for different reasons (I support fair trade, not free trade).

To be honest, I don't really think there'll be that great a difference between the two. Hillary will continue to invade and bomb anything that moves, thereby further fucking up the US's international reputation. She'll sign the TPP fucking up everyone's rights. She'll support the FBI/NSA et al hacking, bugging, sabotaging the internet. Anything progressive she might try to get done will be knocked on the head by the republicans. And Donald... well, not really sure what he will do, but I suspect his advisors will pull him into line pretty quick. He'll probably just wind up being centre-right, albeit potentially volatile, and might even knock some of these neoliberal trade deals on the head (although, that's doubtful, given he relies on them for his cheap products that he sells).

He's in the "narrative vs. narrative" school of thinking. Facts are irrelevant. It's all about the narrative.

There's that narrative going.... LOL, someone said that Keynesian economics has been proven right, and the "economics is settled" or something to that effect, so that's the narrative you hold to. Never mind that the Austrian school (von Mises, Hayek, et al) is supported by significant evidence behind it), as does Classical Economics (Adam Smith, John Stuart Mill), as does Market Monetarism (Friedman, Summer, et al), Neoclassical, New Classical, etc. -- and then, of course, there are different Keynesian schools -- Keynesian, New Keynesian, Post-Keynesian, and Chartalism.

Don't let the facts get in the way. Keynesian economics has all the evidence behind it, and all the economists adhering to other schools of thought are just denialists.
rEvolutionist wrote: Neoliberal crony capitalism hampers growth and innovation and entrenches inequality (which also hampers growth and revenue).
Crony capitalism results from government interventionism in the New Keynesian sense of factoring microeconomic foundations into the macro Keynesian theory. The government intervention becomes greater, and government policy is used at the microeconomic level. I.e., the cronies get favorable government policy and support, and those on the outs get handicapped. New Keynesian economics is crony capitalism. It's why we get Solyndra, and bailouts of too big to fail enterprises. Classical and neoclassical economics, and the Austrian school, would not prop up a Solyndra and would not bail out Goldman Sachs. The prop up and the bailout is cronyism.

rEvolutionist wrote: Not that I have any idea what type of economics Trump actually stands for.
He's a pragmatist, not in line with the conservative Republicans (which is a good thing). The conservative Republicans are pathologically deficit-focused, and overstate international free market capitalism in almost religious terms.
rEvolutionist wrote: I do agree with him that removing all protectionism is wrong. And agree with him about free trade beingn suboptimal, but for different reasons (I support fair trade, not free trade).
And, you think Trump doesn't support fair trade? "I am all for free trade, but it's got to be fair." - D. Trump.
"I'm for free and fair trade." - D. Trump.

Trump is actually inverting the economic debate -- he is in favor of tariffs and fair trade, and Hillary Clinton opposes them, in favor of more Free Trade Agreements.

Folks are against American manufacturing going overseas to cheap, substandard working-conditions, environments, right? We don't want Carrier and Boeing to go to Mexico and China to take advantage of Mexican and Chinese shit working conditions and 10 cents a day wages, right? We wish Apple made their devices here in the States and employed American workers at $20 to $40 an hour, right? Well, Trump is on your side, and is promising to take concrete action to change the conditions such that it is not attractive any longer to do that.

I don't understand it when supposed liberals and supporters of the Democrats are aghast at Trump's proposals. He is talking about actually doing what the politicians and candidates have been paying lip-service to for decades. We hear every year about how our manufacturing base is disappearing, and how it's all going overseas chasing the cheapest, lowest cost locations. But, then we get more free trade agreements because in the short term, getting dirt cheap products from China feels good. I bought a 42 inch flat screen 1080p digital television a few months ago for $199. Not possible to make that in the US. Howe it's even possible to make that without slavery, I have no idea. $199 here in the US is pretty much what the handyman who mounts the TV on the wall will charge you to put it up level and centered above your credenza. Hitachi can manufacture the damn thing, ship it to the US, and have it stocked in stores, for that price. I can go to Sam's Club and buy a 55 or 65 inch flat screen for about $799, more or less. The trendy t.v.'s with the most advanced features are pricier, into the thousands, but that's for like a 70 inch, 3D, curved, ultra-high definition, smart TV, with built in computer.

Indeed, what Trump is talking about could impact pricing in the US, but frankly, the cost to the US of losing Boeing to China, Carrier to Mexico, and John Deere to whereever -- well, it's the last gasps of US manufacturing. A $350 billion ANNUAL trade deficit with China is sucking an extremely large amount of capital out of the American economy. We can't sustain that forever. Without some of what Trump is talking about doing, there will be a much higher price to pay later.
