If I have you in enough of bind to be able to demand your $$, running away won't be an option for you.

So you give me your wallet. Then what?

Here you go. Now you have to shoot me as I will cancel all the cards otherwise. You only made $60.

It's actually ridiculously easy and it quickly becomes habit and you don't even notice you're doing it. It's the very best thing you can do to AVOID being predated upon.

Tero, try this: Look them straight in the eye and say nothing. Just keep rolling scene from movies over and over in your head, like when River stomps Reaver ass in "Serenity". If you do it right, it will show through.

I never considered anything but me standing over a bloody corpse. I'm alive, BL's dead. Figure from there.

To avoid some real headache traffic I drive through a few blocks of slum. It's not the worst slum, but stuff happens. Last week a suitcase and clothes all over a street. I think it was a man that got thrown out. I would not drive through there at night. Due to the way traffic is routed in the next few years, it makes it hard to get to work by my back up route. I hate doing night shift, but last 3 days I did it, it was 6PM to 6AM, so it was daylight both leaving and arriving. The work place is not in the slum, there is a freeway in between. But I would avoid even the gas stations at the freeway at night.

Sometimes we're driving through a certain kind of neighborhood and I tell Ayaan to lock her door.

"Why?"

"Because there are a lot of those people around here."

"You mean..."

"Yep, Libertarians."

Whatever you do, if you're a non-hispanic Anglo, do NOT get off of Interstate 10 in West Covina, California.

Scariest experience this white boy ever had stopping for gas.

Likewise for I-70 in East Topeka, KS if you're not black. Wayward tourists have been killed and attacked there not infrequently.

That's from a long-time resident of Topeka who warned me the first time I came to visit.

Honey-child, if a Libertarian is out to get you locking your car door is worse than useless. The best thing to do is not piss off Libertarians by initiating force or fraud against them.

Nope, they're too stupid to work a lockpick. Present company included.

The "Libertarian lockpick" comes in several varieties including, but not limited to, 12ga, .45 caliber, .308 caliber, 9mm and a wide selection of other instant lock openers available to Libertarians.

And then there's the spring-loaded center-punch, which gives instant access through any side or rear automobile window.

Don't try to teach grandpa to suck eggs, boy! :cranky:
