Re: A Sort of Stalin
The people who don't believe in population reduction will be the first to go.

What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

Interesting i was reading the age about how melburnians make a sport of complaining about public transport.JimC wrote:And don't forget getting all those fucking trains to run on time!Scrumple wrote:In certain circumstances, say food was really scarce on the shelves for instance(and crime/rioting was all out of hand). I think you have to look at any military coup that claims similar and then go and man the barricades imo.

The Pope was today knocked down at the start of Christmas mass by a woman who hopped over the barriers. The woman was said to be, "Mentally unstable."Trolldor wrote:Ahh cardinal Pell. He's like a monkey after a lobotomy and three lines of cocaine.
Which is probably why she went unnoticed among a crowd of Christians.

It is interesting how few of you have a survival instinct and would rather expire in some ideological lost cause. Maybe all the hero movies from Hollywood etc have instilled a certain amount of naive surrealism here?

Without my heart meds I'd die out pretty quick truth be told. Do I care though? I'd be well out of it on the day.SteveB wrote:We should definitely start picking off the weak. That means you, Scrumple.

I think my survival instincts have been rather well-tested.

Actually, the people who DO believe in population reduction ARE GOING. They are not-breeding themselves into extinction. Meanwhile, the Catholics and Muslims (among others) continue to raise large families.Scrumple wrote:The people who don't believe in population reduction will be the first to go.
Go watch "Idiocracy", particularly the first 5 minutes, for an excellent glimpse of the future without the moralizing ecozealot intelligentsia.

Re: A Sort of Stalin
Temporary. Global population has peaked. When the population crash comes you'll see the 'atheists/freethinkers' find hope and so start to breed again. Meanwhile the religious will give up hope and the great religions of this era will fail. Ever onward, until we establish parity with the ancient world where religion was fluid and so was free thinking.Seth wrote:Actually, the people who DO believe in population reduction ARE GOING. Yep, I'm probably only 9 or 10 times more likely to survive than the man on the street right now. I still teach.Făkünamę wrote:No doubt bredrin'. But shit degrades with time.Gawdzilla Sama wrote:I think my survival instincts have been rather well-tested.
