Going by his post directly below yours it appears that his discussion is limited to "pointing out [your] lies and the failings". Although this falls short of explicitly stating that he is not interested in discussions with you, it comes awfully close. And he does go about it in a manner that would have resulted in repeated suspensions if he also supported right wing views. So, yeah, I agree with the substance of your post.

I'm happy to have a discussion with him (or anyone) while ever he isn't lying, misrepresenting, stubbornly refusing to admit he is wrong, and/or committing logical fallacies. Unfortunately he does those things most of the time.

He was quite open about it when he told Seth "I'm pretty sure I'll hound you off. I got rid of a lot of people from ratskep, and I got rid of Coito from here." But rEv's not espousing right wing views, so it's OK.

Why don't you go away and do a reboot? Come back as Forty Three, and focus on the concept - being wrong occasionally isn't anything to be ashamed of. I think your fear of being shown to be wrong is what is at the basis of most of your problems. It inadvertently reinforces your already strong biases, making everything worse. It makes you misrepresent what others have said, and torture the English language so as to bend things your way in a desperate struggle to not be shown to be wrong. Seriously, have the personal belief in yourself to be comfortable being wrong from time to time.

Maybe, maybe not. But, yhou did say that you purposefully troll people to try to drive them away. That's just the kind of person you are.

Yep, that's pErvin. Mr. Empathy. Conservatives (one in the same as liberals these days) lack the deep empathy he has.

I have no such fear. I just acknowledged a misreading of L'Emmerdeur's (sp?) post the other day and I've many times acknowledged misunderstanding or changing my view. You, on the other hand, have no such ability, and yet you don't even seem to recognize it. You completely lack the ability to entertain a notion without accepting it. You personalize all discussion. You turn everything into insult, whether veiled or not so veiled. When you don't like a topic, you piss all over a thread just to ruin it. And, you've come right out and said that drive people away from forums if you don't like their views, through purposeful trolling. And, you want to sit here and lecture to others what they should be doing, or what they should admit? Come of it, man.
pErvin wrote:

My biases? Dude, everyone has biases. You're like those people who don't think they have accents when they speak.
pErvin wrote: It makes you misrepresent what others have said,
God, man, you are just one projection after another. You are the king of misrepresenting what other people have said. You've even admitted not reading posts, and yet declaring the person you're talking to was wrong. You think you know what they "really mean" and in so doing you routinely, almost as a rule, misrepresent what other people say.
pErvin wrote: and torture the English language
If by "torture" you mean use words according to their meanings, and present logical arguments, yes. I do see how you would think that was "torturing" the language.
pErvin wrote: so as to bend things your way in a desperate struggle to not be shown to be wrong.
I have no trouble admitting that I'm wrong, when I'm wrong. You, however, think you've shown people to be wrong simply by stating your view on a subject. You constantly challenge others to present detailed proof and analysis, and to lay out arguments to back up assertions, and yet your specialty is the one or two line post declaring a point of view (usually vaguely, or with wiggle room built in), and then going on for days about how you've "explained" it already and anyone adopting or trying to substantiate a contrary view is arguing against an already established point.

Torturing the English language again, I see. None of that is admitting that you were wrong. You are too fragile to admit you can be wrong.
You, on the other hand, have no such ability, and yet you don't even seem to recognize it.
Absolute bullshit. I not infrequently admit I am wrong. This is just another example of how dishonest you are.

Again (for the third time now; all times un-addressed by you), I have never admitted to declaring a person wrong about something I haven't read. This is just another example of the misrepresentation you get up to. I've made this point to you three times now and you've never addressed it and instead just keep trotting out this lie.
pErvin wrote: so as to bend things your way in a desperate struggle to not be shown to be wrong.
I have no trouble admitting that I'm wrong, when I'm wrong.
:funny: You are off with the fairies. No one believes this for a second.
You, however, think you've shown people to be wrong simply by stating your view on a subject.
Bullshit. L'emmy, Hermit and I post both articles and YOUR OWN WORDS that prove you wrong, and you regularly ignore those posts because they are inconvenient to your biased world view.
