I think you'd have to take a lot of snuff for it to be lethal.
Smoking's faster. And even that's not a sure thing...

The green careening planet
spins blindly in the dark
so close to annihilation.
Listen. No one listens. Meow.

I have a cousin in the US who's husband has a serious illness. He had health cover which ran out as he could no longer work.Rum wrote:Neither of these positions are backed up with evidence..not at all uncommon for Seth of course.Seth wrote:Liar.mistermack wrote:Yeh, but only if you've got the money.Seth wrote: Certainly if you DO want treatment you should get it,
A lot of people in YOUR world are committing suicide because they haven't got the money for treatment.
I'm glad you don't run the world.
The family (brothers and sisters) have all been contributing to his medical expenses since.
In that situation, I would consider suicide myself.
I'm sure it's far from unique. The pressure not to be a drain on the family can be enormous.
Pressure from within, more so than from the family.
Obama is doing what he can to widen it, but in the end, the US will probably end up with an NHS. It's just a matter of time.
The reporting of the suffering that the private system causes is bringing it home to the voters, and it will tell in the end.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
