The invading armies would like that very much.

Why do you hate armed individuals?
I was parodying a certain mindset.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

The Net is best considered analogous to communication with disincarnate intelligences. As any neophyte would tell you. Do not invoke that which you have no facility to banish.

If you ditched the armed forces you would have a lot of bloody bids for rule and control by various wizards, political ideologues, criminals and psychopaths (none of which are mutually exclusive) who could hire muscle. The physical threat is not from without or within its from those who desire to rule.

None, as long as you learn Cantonese and Mandarin.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
