For someone who dislikes the word "Islamaphobia" so much, he seems really quite comfortable with "Islamofascist". :ask:
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

I'm more your bomber-phobic type myself. I wouldn't want to set one off by snipping the wrong wire, if you see what I mean?

Pat's rants of late haven't done much for me for the most part, but on this one I agree with him to a certain extent - it's not at all irrational to fear Islam. However there are numerous examples of taking that wariness to irrational extents - witness passing of an anti-sharia ballot measure in a state that was certainly in no danger of falling under sharia law anytime this century, or the "Ground Zero Mosque" madness, to which Pat himself contributed.

I don't care about these lily livered islamaphobes. I'm a proud mislislamic, now give me the keys to unleash the purifying flames of atomic fire, and the means to do some ethnic cleansing where it's needed.

I've become increasingly Patophobic over the years....

That would give him a needed bit of publicity.

He does have a point. IIRC, during the whole 9-11 Mosque thing, even the majority of Republicans thought respected that whoever has the right to build whatever wherever. It seemed to me that some spokespeople for Muslims showed less respect for the rights of people to not particularly like it. And when some guy in Florida wanted to burn a pile of Korans, he gets calls from Washington pleading for him to not go through with it.

But I suppose I am a bit Islamophobic. After the stabbing of Theo Van Gogh, I haven't been able to stomach the sight of angry Muslims living in the West. Sends me off into a homicidal rage it does.
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

He sounds perfectly rational to me, and he's absolutely correct in his analysis. CAIR is a terrorist front organization and anybody who does a bit of research knows it.
