I'm just doing it to practice expressing it. I'm planning to start grad school in Philosophy soon. Need my brain to be on its toes.

Nothing is beyond the realm of science. This isn't a reverence for the mighty powers of science, but because science is the labeling and comprehension of the pre-existing. In short, it is detecting what is already there and nothing more. If a 'spirit' exists at all, it is measurable by some objective method. Everything in this universe impacts something else in a measurable quantity, even if the scales of which may be beyond human comprehension, they are not beyond the scope of the consciousless - machines.
