I can't see it. Since most women I've met love to talk on an on and on and on about nothing with various pointless digressions and un-necessary descriptions, I'd imagine a Highly intelligent woman would wish a partner who was intelligent enough to listen to their prattle.

AH I've got it! They HAVE to marry less intelligent men, because all the intelligent men have married women smart enough to know how to get to a point and as Lak Lak points out, with big tits.

Cultures come into this I reckon? A more conservative type culture will see people clustering towards the norm and looking for similar types of cognition and intellectual prowess. Whilst with Bohemian or radical types they might be more interested in diversity rather than brute brain power. A highly intelligent man/woman may want someone nearer the average as a kind of 'grounding wire' to keep them in orbit.

Mistermack's explanation is correct. A highly intelligent woman is unlikely to meet a smarter guy to marry, so she has to either remain unmarried or marry a less intelligent guy.

The guys, on the other hand, don't care, as long as she has big boobs.
