And yes, as you say, in my view atm we should try to do something about people who're not even as civilised as we are.

Such as? nuking them back into the stone age? Trying to give them the advantages of our civilisation and enlightening them seems to have been a spectacular failure

As far as age goes, certainly some will be mature enough to vote at 16, some not till 21. But a blanket, compromise "age of first voting" is the only realistic, workable solution, IMO, whether it be 18 or otherwise.

I think that the whole area of cash contributions to candidates or parties is the biggest current distorting factor in western democracy - it allows money to talk far too easily...
I think the only people who should be allowed to vote on a tax should be the people who actually have to pay the tax.

That would help prevent the dependent class from voting itself largess from other people's wallets.

Democracy is high on the list of Very Bad Things. It's two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner.

It's my experience that ignorant cunts who use ignore lists are just compensating for their small penises and their even smaller intellects.

Hoi Seth, Take that back! I've put both of the "Schneibsters" we've had on ignore precisely because of them showing obvious evidence of them attempting overcompensation in both departments.

Didn't like to have to do it, but some people are not worth even reading.

Then exercise some index finger control and scroll past their posts. Killfiles are for lazy morons who have no self-control and no intellectual strength.

Besides, when you use a killfile, you might find you miss something interesting.

I've never killfiled ANYONE, ever, and I've seen some real bilge on the Internet in my time.

Well good for you, though I hope you realise that not putting people on ignore in no way evinces that anyone is an energetic genius with the self control of a sufi or having any intellectual fortitude. In fact it could mean they are too thick and stupid to even find the ignore function, right?

I could have scrolled past, normally do, but I do think some people only crave attention and like neglected children, care not whether it is good or bad. Putting such on ignore is the best way to get rid of such content free noise making dickbags as far as I'm concerned.
