Help. I'm all confused now.

Here is the thing. I am primarily a pc guy. Any games I used to play were always PC, though I haven't gamed in ages. It is however becoming more interesting for me to have a console downstairs and hooked up to the TV than have my PC tower there. So now I am orientating which one to take. Wii is right out, no way I am buying that one.

So that leaves me with 2 real contenders. Xbox 360, or Sony Playstation 3. There seems to be more support for Xbox 360, but a major selling point for me is the Blu-ray capability of the PS3.

So what to do? My main interest is racing, Helicopter sims (but I can do that on my PC so not a real requirement, my transmitter hooks up with the PC), and and GTA series.

The thing is too, that I now see all those horror stories about consoles breaking down, I want mine to be as rigid as my robots.

Most games on X-box you can get on PC, and with a lot of free mods. The problem with PS3 is that it has a lot of technical problems:
Yellow triangle of death, black spots of death and the 'melted disc' of death where the laser goes spastic

Purely for the different games get a ps3 if you have a decent computer.

Get a PS3. Free online gaming. Not like that XBox bollox with its paying-for-the-privilege bollox.

We have both and the PS3 is a much more enjoyable machine to use. We had to send the Xbox back, but no probs with the PS3. The graphics are noticeably better, though a PC with a decent graphics card is better still of course.

Most of the games that come out are on both consoles anyway but i'd say ps3 since I think it's a better machine.

I do intend on buying a 360 at some point fot Gears of war, Halo and Ace Combat so i'm not saying they aren't worth buying.

360 vote here because if that's what you're getting it for then it can give you the same experience cheaper. sure the PS3 with get Gran Turismo, but we're still waiting for that Forza is already going strong on the 360, so while the PS3 might be the better deal a year from now, who wants to wait?

the ps3 has more features too but other than blu ray you prob wont use any leo. i couldnt cope without mine now.

At the mo, Forza is the best game on the market for racing, but around March next year the next Gran Turismo game is coming out and no matter how good Forza is it cannot compare wit being able to design your own tracks, yes GT will have more cars and better physics, more options for tweaking performance but on top of all that you can make your own bloody tracks!!!
