Hitman Contracts

Post by Trolldor » Fri May 29, 2009 12:41 pm

Brilliant fun, frustrating and...

Absolutely no replay value. Finished it in one day on the hardest setting and don't feel like playing it ever again.
Developers need to learn to make their games mod friendly, hell the original dawn of war included a damn menu for you to quick cycle between mods.

I know the feeling. I finished COD4 in what, 6 hours, and have no desire to play it again, plus, since it's downloaded, I can't get the multiplayer to work. In fact, I'll probably just throw it out and buy CIV4 instead.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It's fun at first, but very quickly loses it's appeal. I have all expansions and... well... no matter what you do it's exactly the same.

What CIV4? Yeah, but it takes ages to finish. Whatever, I'm trying to download a version of Oblivion for the mac now, hopefully that works. I love the Elder Scrolls, and there's so much shit to do there.

Ags to finish? That's partly the problem, it's ages of the same thing over and over again.

Hmm. I always loved the Civ games. But whatever, hopefully the problem will be solved for me by Oblivion installing.

Sounds marvellous - change and innovation are over-rated concepts....

Without change and innovation, the gentleman would never have existed and you'd be like the rest of us.

Oblivion is great!! And Fallout 3 too - which works on the same game engine.

Both are full of play - hundreds of hours if you want to complete every quest!

There is a lot of repetition in the quests in Oblivion - most are just: go to such-and-such a dungeon, kill everything, grab the whatsisname and give it so-and-so. But some make you think and there are lots of hidden quests that you only get if you stumble on them (ie. not part of any of the main plot threads.) The quest marker gives too much away a lot of the time though - just follow it and you get where you need to be without knowing why you need to be there a lot of the time.

I found it a bit buggy on the PS3 as well - save often - after anything that you do that seems important, unless you want to do it all again!
