Crackdown

Ok, so the game is dull. Really dull.
Extraordinarily dull.

For a while.
If you can get past the first half-hour of akward camera and movement, then the game really picks up.

Basically, you're a super soldier. A genetically modified agent created in a last ditch attempt to combat three gangs which have taken over the city. You can run and jump and kick criminals in the face. Do this enough and soon you'll be able to leap relatively high buildings in a single bound and pick up cars as easily as I pick up women.

It doesn't make a lot of sense, but the mayhem you can cause is glorious fun. Where the game really kicks off is multiplayer, though. Barging around with a friend in either splitscreen or co-op and rampaging through countless gangmembers with rocket launchers and machine guns (or your feet), killing leaders and kingpins... or just messing around.
Worth getting if you've got a regular co-op buddy.
