New mobo (Asus of course), i7 cpu, 4 or 8 gb of DDR3, a second GTX 460 1gb so I can setup sli with the one I have already, new sound card with faceplate (haven't decided which model yet). About $700-1000 in toto.

I don't buy Asus products anymore; all five or so of their boards I've bought over the years have either died prematurely or not fully worked out of the box. Last motherboard I got from them decided not to retain BIOS settings after the first week of use - I ended up sending it back for repair, they sent it back to me marked fixed, but it wasn't. Sent it back again, got it back unfixed again. Sliced it up with a sawz-all, sent it back again with a note asking for a refund, which for some reason they didn't honor. :dunno:

Currently running a Gigabyte board.
That's funny. The last Gigabyte board I bought, in 1999, was a complete piece of garbage.

I've used Asus since, best mobo manufacturer in the sector. My current one (P5WD2) has been running 24/7 for the past 5+ years and still performs at peak.

But I'm sure they make crap models. I do a lot of research into what I'm buying (chipset, north/southbridge, etc.) before I buy so I don't buy shite. :)

Bios reset? Did you check the baterry on your mobo? That's usually the culprit.

Trying out Entropia Universe, i thought a game with a real cash economy sounded interesting, ive played for about 5-6 hours and i have about 0.80 PED (Project Entropia Dollars), 10 PED = 1 US dollar :ddpan:

Cant afford shit, im collecting sweat from animals, in 3½-4 hours ive collected about 300 sweat, which can probably be sold for 1-1.5 PED
Gotta keep working until i can get a melee weapon and start killing some animals, right now im defenceless, if one of the animals im de-sweating gets pissed off i have to run away to a turret that kills it :coffee:

Gameplay isnt very good, but not as bad as i was told it would be, kind of a really poor version of Fallen Earth

And i cant deposit like a dollar from my paypal cause they dont accept paypal, otherwise id be 10 PED rich and be kicking ass

Yep, battery was fine - I tested it in another machine and it worked there. I can't remember the model # but it was their flagship AMD product at the time.

If I had disposable income, I'd play Black Ops.
If it was December, I'd be playing Cataclysm.
If it was February, I'd play Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
If it wasn't slow to release, I'd be playing Poker Night at the Inventory.
If it didn't have a frame rate of 10, I'd be playing Grand Theft Auto 4.

...

I guess I'm stuck with more TF2 and DotA...

If it was 2074 I'd be playing the Matrix with a jack in the base of my skull.

Red Dead Redemption (finished)
and
The FOrce Unleashed 2

RDR is t3h shit.
TFU2 is worse than the original, seems far too rushed.

I figured I'd rent TFU2 anyways. I regretted buying the first one since I only played it once and didn't want to again. :P

RDR is like my favorite game ever and I hate Rockstar for not releasing it on PC. Yahtzee has some interesting comments on TFU2.

TFU2 was the game that basically that, at every turn, showed you what it could have been.

For some reason I never got to like RDR. I should give it another go, as I still love the other Rockstar games. Perhaps it was because I preferred playing The Saboteur so much that I couldn't get into RDR as much as I would have liked.

So yesterday morning I finished installing Black Ops. And yesterday afternoon I turned it off because I had beat the campaign. Still good though, even though it was only 6 hours long.

Anyways, playing a lot of wager matches. They're lots of fun.

I'm playing a racing game that doesn't involve killing people. I like crashing my race car into other cars, it helps get the aggression out.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

If you like Team Fortress (the original), DoTA, or any similar game, do yourself a favor.

Log onto X-Box live. Buy yourself Monday Night Combat.

It's $15 that you will never regret spending. EVER.
Gallstones, I believe you know how to contact me. The rest of you? I could not possibly even care.

This is going to sound really horrible but I don't know how to hook my x-box 360 up to the internet.
