Re: What are you playing now?
Just finished the storyline mission of Assassins Creed 2. The ending was a bit of a letdown for me to be honest, I expected a more spectacular finish.
Now I only need the last 2 graves of the assassins to get the seals and I will have the armor of Altair. Im stuck on one where you need to jumps sideways when running up a wall. I keep messing that up.

I didn't really like AC2. It was far too easy. I didn't die once.

Red Faction: Guerilla
Again.
Just as fun as it was the first time, except that now I can piss around more because I know what I'm doing.
Nano Rifle is
Bastard keeps locking up on me every hour and a half or so.
For whatever reason, playing through the games a second or third time seems to produce problems that weren't present the first time.

I "desynchronized" a few times, mainly due to me falling from towers when messing up the controls again. The fights went fairly easy although I did the final mission with lesser armor than the armor of Altair which made it a bit precarious at the last fight sequence before entering the Sistine Chapel.Animavore wrote:I didn't really like AC2. Way too easy. Just stand there in a defensive position and counter attack. At one stage I had over 30 lads on the ground bleeding around me.leo-rcc wrote:I "desynchronized" a few times, mainly due to me falling from towers when messing up the controls again. Just got Wolfenstein from the library. The new one that is. Can't wait to play online.

Playing Woflenstein online. Not impressed.
After Modern Warfare 2 all other FPS just seem shit but I had higher hopes for Wolfenstein :sighsm:
Oh well. Roll on Black Ops.

If you used a PC I would have suggested Natural Selection.
Brilliant bloody game that.

Half-Life game. I'm sure it was excellent.
This game is getting great reviews. I never even heard of it.
No multiplayer but I'd definitely rent it.

Re: What are you playing now?
At the moment it's FIFA 11 and I've also went back for an 8th play through Heavy Rain. Considered starting another game on Mass Effect 2 just so I'm fresh for the finale, but will probably do that early next year. Red Dead Redemption lost its appeal pretty quickly actually but I guess it's because I'm now completely bored of GTA. RDR looks better than any GTA game, it's bigger, and it's very different in it's setting. But it's still too similar in far too many ways, and I now feel like I've been playing the same GTA game over and over for a decade.
I agree about AC2 being too easy, but I extend this opinion to computer games in general now. I remember when you can buy games that were really fucking difficult or even next to impossible. I know it's about making the games accessible, but nowadays even the highest difficulty setting isn't too hard to beat. If there are difficulty settings, the highest one should be a real challenge. For example, some of my fave NES, SNES, Master System 2 and Mega Drive games were the ones that gave me the most trouble completing and really tested me.
You should have to work at a game and get good at it in order to complete it. That's how I feel anyway.

Looks interesting, but I cringed every time they copied the Revenge Of The Fallen trailers.Animavore wrote:Half-Life game. I'm sure it was excellent.

I've just dusted off the heatsink in my old pooter, and now I can play Command and Conquer: Zero Hour without it crashing.

I run with scissors. It makes me feel dangerous
