Just got to Zeus already in God of War 3. I was hoping this game would be bigger. I only got 10 hours worth or something. And it's a bit easy-ish. But still fucking awesome.

Ah fir feck's sake. I decided to give Zeus a bash. And bash I did. I beat him in 3 goes. What a jip.
I was expecting him to come out of the ground amidst and earthquake and rent Mount Olympus in two as a giant. But no. I just fought a guy who was no bigger or better than a Mortal Combat opponent. Raiden or someone.

The first one? It's lovely, innit? I have the 2nd one but haven't started it yet. I've been busy with Half-Life2. Just finished it actually, and moved onto Portal. What's the big deal with Portal anyway? Seems kinda boring to me :dono:

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

It's more of a puzzles thing than a shooter.

I really like it. Nice and challenging at times, and the atmosphere was cool. The portal gun in itself is a pretty fun game mechanic too.

Don't get me wrong; I love puzzle games. It's just that it's awfully repetitive. And to tell you the truth, I have no fucking idea what I'm doing. I'm managing to make my way through each room so far, but I'm kinda doing it by accident :ask:

I'm playing Modern Warfare now. Even though I'm always the worst player on the team, I never thought it would be so fun to play online

I love it when you just fling random portals around, jump into one - let the camera spin around a few thousand times and magically end up where you wanted to go

But uh... I suppose it does get a tad repetitive, but it's not that long either - so not that much time to get bored in :P

Neptune's Pride
An on-line multi-player slow-paced star-field-based strategy game where diplomacy is very important. (but an equally successful strategy is stabbing your allies in the back when they least expect it)

8 Players in a game, which will last around a fortnight, but you only need play for 15 minutes a couple times a day. (though I've been checking my current game every few hours in case of important developments)

It's free to play or you can buy credits for premium games.

This GTA4 is pretty meh so far. There's nothing new in it. Except some cool Eastern European hip-hop.

Give it some time, the awesome factor seems to sneak up on you. But if you're playing it just for the story, you may be a bit disappointed.

When I first started I was the same way, meh. Then at one point I noticed the massive amount of time put into it(70ish hours so far). Not knowing what you liked about previous versions, all I can say is this game's driving physics are pretty deep and very satisfying to master. It makes cop chases more challenging and most of the time more fun. It's tougher to make turns but , it's equally tough for the AI.
Unlike you though, I like to explore, and that's what's kept me going mostly. Some of the details in the game are very nice too. Let a cop grab the door of a car you've just jacked and watch what happens when you drive away. :D Killing pigeons is also quite fun, but the fuckers are often quite difficult to spot.

Finished GTAIV, I actually found the earlier missions more entertaining. The later ones were just frustrating, and sometimes nonsensical because all they did was escalate (more guys, longer car chases, battle through attrition not difficulty). The final 'choice' in the game was a bit of a bitch though, and after what Roman said at the end I want to go back and change what I did.

Part 2:

The Saboteur is the reverse, the longer I play the more epic the battles, the better the chases. The missions are pretty much similar: Go to point A and Kill/blow up/fetch, but they're structured differently. Sometimes you can leap across rooftops or simply ram down the gates with a truck you've triggered to explode on impact, ditching at the last minute. If you're lucky and have a decent memory (and some patience) you can take one of the hidden tanks around the place and storm in to any Nazi stronghold.

It's like GTAIV with bigger balls.

The driving is a little 'arcade' though, and your cars are pretty much resistant to any and all impacts, no matter if you're flying over a cliff or in to a solid brick wall
