I'm about halfway through Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (on easy) - brilliant Indiana Jones style adventure game which I expect most people have already played. It really does rock though!!1!

Still Imps.

Seems pretty common for folks to get used to the scares in Doom 3, but it was a blast for me the whole way through. Seems I'm either lucky or messed in the head.

All I can say is; this game better start getting good real soon.

Depends on how you play. First playthough is confusing and mostly boring, because you fuck up a bit.

Skills needed to 100:
Lockpick, science, small guns.

Anything after that is your choice.

Playing on PC or console?

A mix of FPS and RPG, not bad so far. Clever use of cartoon strip graphics and very good "atmosphere".
Until, of course, you realise that every quest is "go to point A and collect/drop off/kill X" then return.
It does get quite repetitive... but it's an interesting and fun game to play until you reach the point where make that realisation and turn it off.
.... and I'm there. Fun for the first few hours, but now, not so much. Damn, I was quite impressed initially.

Alone in the Dark was scarier for me the longer I played, DOOM 3 was just a dimly lit quake. I got quite bored and just BFG'd the shit out of the next two or three levels before giving up.

Console.
I stopped playing it and watched a film. A bit rough today 'cause of the aul drink. I'll play tomorrow when I'm in better humour.

Explore more, leave the main quest alone. Game is more fun when you don't rush it.

You bought an RPG, not an FPS. There's a lot of shooting no matter what you do though, but if you explore you're more likely to find secrets, get random events or stumble across the more interesting quests.

Also, if you want some hints, do the quest for Three Dog at GNR and listen to the radio. He'll occassionaly tell you about locations with quests.

Well, no grenade launchers, but there is the Rock-It launcher.

Build one and any debris - teddybears, cooking pots, burned books - become deadly projectiles.

Drat. I generally hate RPGs. It seems like that old game Deus Ex.
