God of War = Devil May Cry rip-off.
Just stating an opinion.
GoW III looks amazing though, especially the battling on the Titan's body, but nothing I haven't seen before. Also, the graphics are equal to that of Devil May Cry 4.
And Devil May Cry is a rip off of Golden Axe and Alisa Dragoon with a penchant for bosses on par with Treasure games such as Gunstar Heroes. So what? Once a games company takes an idea and does something good with it it hardly matters.
BTW: Hello! I forgot to greet you, you've responded to my Ireland topic back on the old RDF forum, helped me in my presentation. Thanks again!![]()
I've checked the wiki on Golden Axe and Alisa Dragoon, but I hardly see how DMC can be a rip-off of them.![]()
The only thing they have in common is that they're hack-and-slash, and that's only Golden Axe. Golden Axe is just a side-scrolling game. And the only similarities with Alisa Dragoon is the hidden power-ups and maybe the scoring system at the end of the game (and not even after each stage).
And besides that, there is also two decades between them and DMC. Worlds apart.
But, as I said GoW III looks awesome and maybe I'll try it. If nothing else than for the story, but then I would also have to play the previous titles and I don't want that.
Yeah I remember. Glad to be of help.
I'm sure the other games would've been in 3-D had they had the means to do it. Anyway I was just trying to illustrate that DMC does not exist in a bubble separate from everything else.
Yeah, of course. Every game borrows from another. It's just that GoW borrows heavily from DMC, from what I've seen from it. Damn! Another good title is BAYONETTA, but it's only for the console, those bastards! Heavenly Sword looked like, and probably was/is a kick-ass game, and it's PS3 exclusive. Bastards!
