Hum... ok, I'll bite:

My favourite Space Pirate/Internet Ships game Eve-Online have just announced a new game. It's a first person shooter / real time strategy game that will link directly into the Eve-Online data base and vice versa.
Sony, makers ofStar Wars "Galaxies" tried this, a number of years ago and failed miserably, but if anyone can do it it's the Icelanders CCP.

The idea of paying for a game then paying to play it as well is one that I don't think I could ever quite get over.
