Danny the Champion of the World

...is perhaps the best book of all time. I can't read it and not feel a sense of wonder and delight. I love reading it to my son, and it's become his favourite book too.

I haven't read it in years but I do remember loving it. The only Dahl book I have left is Going Solo, his autobiography. I've given the rest away to various kids of friends or family over the years.

I've been meaning to post it for a few days, but I've been too busy.

We could make it drunk fuelled and less innocent :plot:

Although I'm sure it would border on paedophilia and blind-fold bestiality and would have the cops banging on the door.

One of my favourites.

Reading some Dahl to the eldest Mini-Huxley at the moment. Just finished Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, now onto The Twits.
