He came at me with a knife and a raging thirst for blood. I defended myself with reasoned pursuasion and a thirst for truth. The aluminium billy club secreted in my sleeve also helped impose the terms of our discussion upon his pocked, shaven skull.

Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.

The day young Bristow discovered why he became so excited by looking at a photo of a topless New Guinean native with huge rings puncturing the nasal septum, colourful and extravagant feathers from birds of paradise woven through fuzzy-wuzzy hair, and sporting a huge koteka, he finally understood why he never picked up a copy of the National Geographic Magazine for the pictures of naked African tribes women.

Sarah gazed in the mirror. Her naked body chronicled her life. Scars that recalled the children that had been dragged unnaturally from her abdomen, competed with the vertical etchings of the stretching that had nearly torn her belly in two, to accommodate the dawn of their lives. A hashtag of silvery tissue.
Faded tattoos recorded the whims of youth, the rebellion of middle age and the yearning she had to reclaim her body with statements of her self. Who she was. But had she ever known?
This was now. A gift of a life still in existence. A casing that she had inhabited and would continue to lumber through life in, until her time came. To rest. To stop.
Who would want this now? Hell... she didn't even want it herself.
She turned away. Best not to look. Best not to feel. Best not to hope.

Said Peter...what you're requesting just isn't my bag
Said Daemon, who's sorry too, but y'see we didn't have no choice
And our hands they are many and we'd be of one voice
We've come all the way from Wigan to get up and state
Our case for survival before it's too late

Turn stone to bread, said Daemon Duncetan
Turn stone to bread right away...

She stared into his dark eyes, as he slowly drew a paper wrapped package from his coat. No, look here, he said. Her eyes were drawn to the package as he slowly, sensuously unwrapped it. A heady fragrance rose lazily from the smooth, slightly oily surface. Cheddar. Strong, aged cheddar.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
