13 days 3 hours and a bit left of the offer. Go to

to be amazed.
I cannot resit pointing out that we Linux users have been the most generous bunch thus far.

"The internet is made of people. People matter. This includes you. Stop trying to sell everything about yourself to everyone. Don’t just hammer away and repeat and talk at people—talk TO people. It’s organic. Make stuff for the internet that matters to you, even if it seems stupid. Do it because it’s good and feels important. Put up more cat pictures. Make more songs. Show your doodles. Give things away and take things that are free." -

Are they any good though? Speedy review needed!
And I am sad that you can't resit. Everyone deserves a second chance!

Unfortunately, I haven't read fiction or science fiction in over 20 years. I loved sci-fi as a kid, but I have no clue what may or may not be good. Hrmmmm.. ("Honey, break out the spare brain. We've got work to do.")

Each book's beginning is presented at the site for free perusal before one has to decide. I read the whole beginning of the book that interested me most (tennish chapters, would perhaps have been 30-35 pages in a paperback - some of the chapters were short), and browsed the two next most interesting. None of them were stellar, all were OK enough as entertainment. I decided that it was worth my while mostly because I would get to know the work of several authors, whose books I have not read before.

I really should not try to be clever...
