Books.
Im just curious, have you ever read multiple books at one time? I have tried this, but I dont like it. I have a friend who reads 2 or 3 books at one time. He will read a little from each book every day. Not my style.
What about you?

Re: Books.
I have a book in the truck, a book in my bag, several in the "Library" (WC). And I always have one on the screen. Here's what I read recently.Existentialist1844 wrote:Im just curious, have you ever read multiple books at one time? I have tried this, but I dont like it. I guess it also depends on what you're reading. Id have no problem reading a nonfiction book and a fiction book at the same time, but definitely not 2 nonfiction books.

Re: Books.
I have a book for work (Being and Nothingness which I'm still reading thanks to the fact I just don't get the time any more since my work load increased) and one for home (Collapse by Jared Diamond).

Re: Books.
I often read 2 or 3 at the same time, in different genres.
Of course, that's what I recall back in the faded and dusty days in which I actually used to read at all...

Re: Books.
Zackly what I do - in fact I usually have two on the go at the same time (otherwise I simply won;t live long enough to read all the books I want to). One fiction, one non-fiction - no probs. In fact I'm doing that at the moment and have a third book on the go as well, although it's a book of very short essays - only a page or two - that you can pick up and put down as and when.Elessarina wrote:I think it's possible exi iif you read one fiction and one non-fiction at the same time. if i read three fiction or soemthing I would probably get confused..

Re: Books.
I am currently reading The Man who Mistook His Wife for a Hat and Other Clinical Trials by Oliver Sacks and Madness and Civilization by Michel Focault. The former book is individual cases where Sacks discusses diagnosis and treatment for people afflicted with neurological conditions. The latter book is a history of mental illness. Although both books are nonfiction, the Sacks book is easier to read because each chapter is dedicated to an individual case, and has no bearing on subsequent chapters; thus, it can be read more sporadically.
I am SO jaded on atheist books.
