Started rather predictably but definitely getting better.

OMFS, the writing--excluding insults--is terrible and the main character is a dumbass and the rest of the characters are total assholes and there are too many sausage shots.

But the gore, the beautiful gore. I don't care how cheesy it is, I don't care if this is just circuses and no bread, I WANT MORE BLOOD. DIE, DIE, EVERYONE DIE!!!!!

(I watch Spartacus for blood just as I watch Legend of the Seeker for Tabrett Bethell's tits and Bridget Regan's legs)

Pay per view? That's like using a phone box, surely?

Yes, to an extent. Pain in the ass, not to mention pricey. Which is why other methods are preferable. ;)

Wonderful torrents.

I expected the story to be shit but it's quite gripping. The action is amazingly adrenaline-inducing, and we get to see Xena the Warrior Princess' boobies hanging in the air.

To an extent. I'd agree that the story is pretty solid, excepting the main character's actions. Seriously, the guy isn't written realistically at all. Does incredibly stupid things just for plot convenience.

Indeed.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.......and (I haven't watched episode 6 yet) there's definitely a lesbo scene coming up within the next few episodes. There has to be.

Yeah, Spartacus is a bit of a moron. Batiatus is shrewd as hell, and the guy with the limp is a cunning little fucker. Crixus is just an idiot, Varro seems like a great guy and if they kill him off I'll be pissed, and Doctore scares me. When Spartacus finally fights him it'll be epic.
