Watched the first, rather harrowing episode of this last night. It’s a mini series.
I thought it was incredibly well done - not just the recreation of the ‘accident’ but the way the old soviet style command structure responded (very poorly).
For me the event has a slightly personal angle. The radioactive cloud from the event drifted over South Wales shortly after. I became aware that I had bee sailing my dinghy on a reservoir while and being rained on by the irradiated clouds, however diluted by then. It was pretty alarming at the time.
