An advert before a trailer..not right at all!
Just trawled reviews of WWZ and one of the trailers (surely a trailer is an ad of sorts!?) was preceded by an effing advert for some other crap or other!

Soon advertisers will be selling each other advertising space in their own adverts, and you'll have to watch and click on several mini adverts during the main advert before you watch an extended advert before you watch the trailer.
[Disclaimer - if this is comes across like I think I know what I'm talking about, I want to make it clear that I don't. I'm just trying to get my thoughts down]

'Product placement' has been around a long time now of course. The most obvious one I have seen lately was in Man of Steel where Lois Lane (as a photographer) very artfully places her camera (a Nikon) in the foreground and the movie camera suddenly puts it into sharp focus. I felt a bit sullied by such an obvious bit of marketing to be honest.

I suppose they have to get sneakier and more aggressive, what with AdBlock and all
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

But sometimes you might get an exclusive preview of an ad soon to come on TV!

I prefer product placement done right than adverts. I go into a movie theatre dump my stuff down and then leave until the noise of adverts trailers and those fucking little Orange promos are done. I used to but what broke me was the trailer for the movie "The Future" which appalled me so much I shouted "OH FUCK OFF!" at the screen, much to my friends embarrassment but overall cathartic laughter (we were in seeing some Giallo thing). Since I hate people who shout out things in theatres of any type, I've excluded myself from being provoked again.
