Hollywood is coming to town.

Ok, so not quite "Hollywood". A new film by yer man that done The Guard is being filmed entitled Calvary, also starring Brendan Gleeson, part of which involving the burning of a church is been done in the harbour just down the road. They have a nice blue church built up there and they're going to burn it to the ground on Thursday.
It's getting dark now but I'll get some pics for youse tomorrow. I'm not sure how near I can get to the set on Thursday for some snaps of the burning. They'll probably block off the Main Street but I should be able to hop over the back wall and cut through "Skinner" McGuinness's farm and pop out by the glasshouses over-looking the park.
I'll try get close to celebs and get photos taken for lulz. Yer man from The I.T. Crowd and Littlefinger are also starring.

It is like "Bad Lieutenant" - a hard boiled cop - in the remote West of Ireland.

Bah! Too many security types floating about. I did manage to ninja a picture from behind.

This is the reality of a movie set. A bit of girder and some 2x4. No doubt they'll use a rural church in the West for the interior.
