The Quatermass Experiment. BBC 1953.
“I wish no harm to any human being, but I, as one man, am going to exercise my freedom of speech. No human being on the face of the earth, no government is going to take from me my right to speak, my right to protest against wrong, my right to do everything that is for the benefit of mankind. I am not here, then, as the accused; I am here as the accuser of capitalism dripping with blood from head to foot.”

John Maclean (Scottish socialist) speech from the Dock 1918.

My personal favourite is Rough Science.

Science...not science fiction :hehe:

And, I'm with Pappa, though I did absolutely love the "Life" series that was done and Planet Earth, and Nova...but Rough Science makes you want to get up and do science in your kitchen...and you can!

There's some good stuff out now. Every now and then I catch The Universe (I think that's the one I'm thinking of) and I'm impressed. I'm looking forward to Tyson's remake of Cosmos.

I could spend days watching the various Life series.... well, I'm pretty sure I have a few times when they show them back-to-back.... but yeah, after watching Rough Science I've actually got the urge to do stuff. Like yesterday when I made hydrogen with a few batteries, some gaffa tape, a bowl of water, two test tubes, a couple of bits of wire and some baking soda. :hehe:

Oh yes, how could I forget Carl Sagan's Cosmos, or The Universe (could be super pop-culture and over the top with the X-TREME teasers and soundtrack, but still some awesome stuff).
