Just watched part one of the Beeb's adaptation of the book. The love story between the two main characters was as smouldering and intense as anything I have ever seen on the screen. Their sexual attraction burnt holes in the TV screen!
Beautifully made too. The Beeb can still do it!

This is a repeat from a few months ago. First time around, I recorded just the the first of the two parts, but not the second. Bummer.
This time around, I only realised it was on about 30 minutes in. But since it's on BBC4, there's a late-night repeat. So I've scheduled that for recording along with part 2 next week.
