Made for TV movie, so here rather than in the movies thread.

Please do not miss Annihilation on Netflix. Brilliant.

I'm still working my way through The Original series of Star Trek, up to season 3 now.
We have no great war, no great depression.
Our great war is a spiritual war.
Our great depression is our lives.

I'm watching Prometheus, its flawed but there are some good things in the film. Plus Covenant did a lot to fix the mess it made of the Aliens canon.

I'm watching Black Lightning on Netflix. Black Lightning was, I'm assuming, DC's answer to Power Man. As far as TV shows go, this is a pale, pale imitation (no albino joke intended) of Luke Cage. But it's still surprisingly watchable if one's expectations aren't kept high.

Meanwhile, I've got a stack of DVDs I've been meaning to watch, including in there The Shape of Water, but have been too busy with book jobs to tuck into the pile.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Got 'the mountain between us' somewhere's about. Not watched it yet. Might give it a go later. Albeit it is the sort of movie requires company I've read...will be sadly watching it alone. On the bright side all the snack food is mine.

Ma Anand Sheela is one of the most insanely brazen and arrogant people going. She should run for POTUS.

Those are tough to watch 50 years on.

You should check out this documentary about the Rajneeshees vs Oregan and the United States as the separation of church and state gets tested.

Notable for some major hypocrisy from the Christian majority and some of the god-fearing federal agents. Not that the cult of Rajneesh was some blameless victim.
