Not my cuppa ...gave it up. This blast from the past tho...

......
The Big Country
Remarkable image quality - HDR really brings out the original film. Doesn't help the sucky dialogue. 🍿

There is a Blu Ray transfer available so that may be what I'm looking at on Prime.
Cast: Gregory Peck, Jean Simmons, Carroll Baker, Charlton Heston, Burl Ives, Charles Bickford, Chuck Connors, Alfonso Bedoya Director: William Wyler Screenwriter: James R. Webb, Sy Bartlett, Robert Wilder Distributor: Kino Lorber Running Time: 166 min Rating: NR Year: 1958
Gotta think some of the stunts wouldn't make the current film environment....it's very good.

Watching Slow Horses. Gary Oldman leads a team of M15 in a department where all the disgraced or problematic agents are sent.

It's as great as it sounds.

Terrific cast and only the Brits can pull off that dark humour. The lead sure likes to show off his running skills.

Well I tried the original Unforgiven with Burt Lancaster and Audrey Hepburn but not in the same enjoyment range as the Big Country for me. Got a toothache anyway so I'm cranky. Struggled to find anything that appealed but this does.

I've seen it before - just season one but thanks to advanced age...I've forgotten enough to make it fresh again. :smoke:

Need something lighter.

A very well preserved Lisa McClune helped me get through my accident where I watched the entire Blue Heelers arc - something like 16 seasons.
She was good in that and enjoying this
Filmed right here near Cairns
Look at the reef before it's gone
Cute girls too
Filming commenced on 28 November 2011 in Queensland, around the Great Barrier Reef, and finished in April 2012. The series was due to be broadcast from September 2012, but was pushed back to June 2013.
Very soapy tho......good look at where I live.
