News. Sorta. I half attended to Craig Ferguson (rock!). I did the same with an episode of Hawaii Five-O earlier. Last thing that occupied my full attention was the movie Limitless.

Aaaaaaaaaaargh!

The copy of Claymore on Netflix streaming is dubbed English with no option to change it. Sadness.

I retreat from the TV like a vampire retreats from a crucifix soaked in garlic oil mounted on a mirror...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

I suspect it would retreat, too, were its back not against the wall.

On deck for "tonight's entertainment"...

The Expendables
Red (From Les Trois Coleurs, not that recent P.O.S.)

And then either Warrior or Late Spring (I've also got Mifune's High And Low, but that will probably wait for another day.)

I thought I'd seen that, but I guess not. Must have been a different documentary on that. Fascinating subject.

I simply do not understand. I'll be watching a foreign film, and the author of the subtitles will translate something completely arbitrarily, when there's a perfectly good straightforward literal translation for the phrase or word, which they decided against. And it annoys me, and I remain annoyed for a good several minutes afterword before I can get my dander down and refocus my attention on the story and the film. Why do they do that? Where's Ronja? She's the witch of word interpolations. Explain it to me.

My new blu-ray player arrived this morning, but I haven't hooked it up yet.
