I watch a German television series about a meteorite destroying all of Europe. A bit of relief from always worrying about the virus

Re: What Are You Watching Now?
I've been watching a lot of mathematics-related videos recently. Currently trying to get my head around Lambda calculus - and losing.
WTF!

Code: Select all
λab.a == λa.(λb.a)

Re: What Are You Watching Now?
Here's an interesting (I say interesting, but I actually mean brain mangling) video explaining the classifications and reduction methods... (you don't need to know what's happening in the code - that's just a means to demonstrate functionality)...
And if you want to know about numbers, counting and arithmetic etc then part two is here.

Netflix
I've had a Netflix account for some 7 years. In the last 5 years we watched all the American shows we want to watch. All the BBC and UK. Bunch of European productions, nearly all the Nordic ones.
At times it seems we could take a 2 month break. But we would need to watch Hulu shows. Or live.
But we are wading through the foreign ones now:
"Three detectives in rain ponchos tromp through the forest, led by Major Weiss (Suliane Brahim). They find a woman’s body hanging from a tree by a noose. Cause of death: stabbing, not hanging, nor by having her eyes pecked out by crows, which also happened. Nothing bad happens in Villefranche that can’t be made worse, apparently.
Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Black Spot’ on Netflix, a Gloomy French Detective Thriller Set in One of the Most Miserable Places on Earth"
Sidenote: the crows the people and captions keep referring to are actually ravens.

Re: Netflix
Two Finnish crime shows got netlix funding. The second season of Deadwind was better than the first. The cops were chasing red herrings for most of season one.
