I haven't read the whole thread, so I don't know if other people have been talking about Downton Abbey.

We just finished watching the first season. It was really good. Lovely production design, and a story that relies more on the roles people play, their machinations and interactions, than it is about the characters themselves-- sort of like how Law and Order works.

And Maggie Smith is a hoot.

Season Two is streaming at the PBS page, so we'll be moving on to that shortly. We have all sorts of predictions!

I agree, Maggie Smith is hawt

Is this a new show or something? I ain't never heard of it :ask:
Although I ain't never heard of much because I don't have TV. TV leads to touching. And touching leads to sex. And then there's no mystery left.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

:hehe:

It's on Masterpiece Theatre. It aired in the UK a while ago.

You can watch it on the onlines, if you like that sort of thing.

A is for Acid.
It's about the 'acid bath murderer' John George Haigh.

Edit - Actually, I'm not watching it now 'cos it finished about 1 1/2 hours ago. :ask:

Watching? Except for maybe four hours a week, the proper question is, "What are you listening to?" (Faye Wong, several tracks off Most Favorite Faye — obsessively listening to the song Bored)

Oddities. Seriously, have any of you watched it? Taxidermy and Victorian hair art and antique medical equipment. Fun!

It's a series on the Science Channel, that follows the doings at this shop called Obscura, in the East Village, I think. A cute weirdo couple run the place, and we see their customers, their hunt for client requests... It's fun. (I think I said that! )

Looking forward to Top Shot season 4 to start on Valentine's Day.

Much rather spend the day with Galstones2 but Top Shot will fill the time.
