That is one fascinating film, and some of the footage is truly enchanting. Pity I don't understand Russian. Some English subtitling would not have gone amiss, especially during the conversation on the train and when discussion became somewhat tense, not to say dramatic, beginning just past the 25 minute mark.

A little background information here for anyone who is interested.

On the train the guy was telling her that it had looked like she had lost consciousness and she told him she had been in full control all the time, just did not want to open her eyes unnecessarily because of the cold.
Here is a film with Nataliya Avseenko with English subtitles:

Du sprichst Deutsch?

I have now started watching it. I tried the English synchro just to see how it was done. And it's terrible. So watching in German

That's why I switched over as well -- the English dubbing was fucking awful. Plus, I like to hear the actors' real voices anyway. Also, German is such a beautiful language.

Although I'm half German, I'm ashamed to admit I don't speak German except for a handful of words. I always watch TV with subtitles on anyway, though, because my hearing is not so good.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

The flashbacks into the 80ies remind me of my childhood.

Dark is a complete mess. I was totally lost most of the time while watching it. All those jumps between different times and everyone being their own grandfather...

Seven Seconds, on Netflix. It's really good. Also watching a Danish show call Below The Surface. Terrorist attack in the metro. Watched The Damned on Netflix too. Really good. Plenty of commie propaganda.. :D

Black Mirror (Netflix). I'm sure it has been mentioned here before. Just started watching season 4. Brilliantly plotted - a different story and characters every time (Charlie Brooker is an evil genius!) well made and nearly always deeply unsettling. Highly recommended!

My wife and I have been watching Hap and Leonard, a Sundance adaptation of the Joe R. Lansdale novels, on Netflix. It's East Texas redneck noire, and captures Lansdale's dark humor and characters well.
