Movies which suck, but still suck!

Post by Rum » Fri Nov 11, 2011 9:30 pm

How could they have got something handed to them on a plate so badly wrong?!

'The Tourist' was a 'premier' on Sky tonight. Johny Depp, Angela Jolie? You would think they could do something with a a plot that was at lest slightly fun...but no.

I turned it off after wasting 45 minutes of my life I won't get back! :nono:

What utter dross!

You have a problem with that?

Actually we have a sports package cos Mrs Rum is a massive fan of footie and athletics and it works out at about 50 pence less not to.

But actually it's quite a good arrangement cos I look at what's on in the cinema and if I see a movie I sort of fancy but looks a bit borderline I just decide to w ain't six months to see it on Sky!

:pardon: No, I thought it was something like this ... but the pricing arrangement does say something about Sky's priorities. Sport is what makes them money, and the movies seem to be a minor business for them.

It's not cheap - 70 a month. Finances here are not what they were and it may have to go in due course. :(

One of my brothers de-subscribed from Sky Sports for the same reason, but has just re-subscribed for 3 months after a good offer from Sky*. It's no surprise that Sky Sports is having to lower its prices in the current climate. It's a very expensive piece of discretionary spending.

*He's not backsliding (I hope). From his perspective, this is a good few months to have Sky Sports, but after that ...

People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

It would have been, if it had been like a Saturday Night Live skit. But it went on and on and on. I forget, how did it end?

By the way Lost In Space is just hell, even Clerks I would sit through if forced.

I remember waking up towards the end of the flick just in time to find out that...well, I shouldn't spoil it, I guess...but anyway, I didn't feel it necessary to re-watch the main body of the movie. :bored:

1. Every musical ever made.
2. All of the Star Wars series.
3. ...Star Trek...
(Sci-fi: if they have sound effects of explosions in space, they suck)
4. Every romantic comedy ever made.
5. Every Batman, Superman, Super-wotnot movie...
6. The Twilight series...
