Film Rental Service Recommendations/Warnings?

I've been getting DVDs in the mail from Blockbuster for years now but am wondering if there are better deals out there as far as selection and pricing. I have an enormous queue with them but it seems that in the waiting 75% of the things I want are changed to "unavailable" as I go for old or obscure films and foreign TV series.

Has anyone had decent luck with any other service, or conversely, companies to avoid?

I loved Netflix streaming video. They raised the prices recently so a lot of people left, but they have an awesome selection and no DVDs to return, and it's just like $8 a month for unlimited streaming even with the price raising (you just have to pay separately if you also want the dvds).

They were the obvious choice although upon looking, the streaming option didn't seem as useful as I'd hoped. I looked up about 20 films on my Blockbuster queue just for comparison and they were all DVD only.

Bella, for torrents you install the software, then enter the name of a film and search for it. Select from the list of available places you can download and click. The software will tell you where to find it after it d/ls.

So I finally signed up to Netflix for the one month free trial.

The streaming selection is abysmal and I'm really disappointed. They have loads of good films on DVD, so I guess if I stick with it, after the month is over I'll have to switch to the mail-order.

Well, new movies generally suck. Go watch the old ones.

I'm afraid to do any torrents in case some lawyer some day sends me an e mail, as well as 100 000 other people who played or downloaded the music. Threatening a fine or I can voluntarily pay 5000 and he will send me a piece of paper.

The only music I've saved off the net came off Youtube using real player.

I don't want new movies - old ones are what I'm looking for, and not ONE of the many I checked was available in streaming. Ridiculous!
