Good summer movie. Loved the explosions, and this from a professional. Good development, reasonable plot, no major moments.

Ayaan and I were meh about it. I felt it was a check-list movie, filling in the back story for people who hadn't read the comic books.

I don't see how it matters if it was. It was neatly told with no irrelevant fluff with great pacing. The director managed the amount of characters well considering the difficulties with having multiple characters, there were no Scarlett Johanssen's in this film (a reference to her superfluous and totally pointless character in Iron Man 2), not really.
I can't think of one superhero movie which isn't a "checklist" movie. Fan bois, famously, get rather angry if certain quotas aren't filled.

I'll have seen it by other means by then
