I thought Blackwater was pretty impressive. I recall reading the battle last year thinking there was no way they were going to be able to pull anything like it off with the budget restrictions they had. Certainly it was a more economically thrifty version of the Battle of Blackwater, but even with that Martin outdid his own book with his script, the cast were just perfect and the tension and release into the bloody slaughter was incredibly exciting stuff.

I like the Borgias to no end... I've even caught myself forgiving them historical inaccuracies that would have gotten the guilty parties a virtual sentence to death by impalement in a less well made work.

So there's more than episode 1? I just found that one yesterday on netflix but it didn't have any additional episodes available.

besides the cool 'splosions i thought the battle was pretty lame, there was no scale, just felt like a few hundreds soldiers having a melee :coffee:

Ok.
Next: when that gaggle of seemingly undead appeared at the end of the last episode, why did they ignore Peter Kaye's son?

They are the White Walkers. They featured in the show a few times. Remember that dead guy who attacked Jon Snow and he set him on fire? Also at the very start of the very first episode of season 1.
Not sure why they ignored Peter Kaye's son as I haven't read the books, maybe it's because he a coward? :dunno:
