*bitch's*

I heard it sucked serious balls. I heard they trashed the original. But all that aside, you were scared by it, or are you being sarcastic?

this. it wasnt scary at all. it was totally predictable and retarded. they even changed the way freddy looked. the ending was a joke as well..

Heck, I was less than impressed by the 20th anniversary movie, when they summoned back the cast of the first movie... overall, I've seen several, though neither the original, nor the one (III I believe) where the kids play Dungeons and Dragons, and I seriously believe that those may be the only two that are worth anything. Those I've seen were bad enough that I seriously regretted any money poured into acccessing them.

I liked it because 1. I'm a Nightmare fanboy... the kind that likes anything related to the main thing, not the kind that bitches and moans everytime a remake comes out.
2. I like the emphasis on him being a child molester. It made him much more creepy. It was always subtext, but they went explicit in the remake. They could've dealt with it better, though.
3. Jackie was an interesting change as Freddy. No one can do Freddy like Robert, but Jackie did pretty well and tried to do his own thing rather than try to replace Robert.

The movie was a bit too glossy, was badly acted, and the writing was all over the place (among other things), and if I wasn't such a fan of teh franchise, I'd probably hate it.
