I don't believe I'm even contemplating this... (Barbie!!!)

Post by Ronja » Wed Dec 29, 2010 6:51 pm

My daughters (9 and 11) are trying to convince me that "Barbie and the Three Musketeers" is a good movie. I'm trying to convince them that I don't need to be at home when they want to borrow it from the neighbor girls. They are not buying this. :gaah:

Especially Younger Daughter is enthusiastically describing what appears to be a feminist angle, which she obviously feels would be to my liking. HEEEEELP! :hairfire:

It’s organic. Make stuff for the internet that matters to you, even if it seems stupid. Do it because it’s good and feels important. Put up more cat pictures. Make more songs. Show your doodles. Give things away and take things that are free." - Maureen J

Do you want me to write a review which you can then show to them and make them cry?
Sure they'll hate you for it and they could use it against you in their teen years but like my mother always told me, as she reached for the rolling-pin, it's for yer own good.

Feck - that is sooooo depressing. :nono:

That trailer was truly horrific. Still, the kitty at the end was cute :ask:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

So they got someone who actually once played Richelieu (pretty well, IMO) as the bad guy - despite of that I'm still utterly sickened by the look and feel of the film, based on the teaser Feck posted. Overly sugary + over-the-top pink, much?

I guess I'll just have to stress (once again) that the girls may like / watch /wear /eat stuff I don't like, but they may not try to make me watch / wear / eat what I don't like, seeing as I don't do that to them. Should be fair enough - I hope... :nutter:

I am completely convinced that this^^ kitty kicks almost any animated kitty's ass. And Banderas' voice is :swoon:

I'm just after watching the first 5 mins :ani:

The cat is annoying and has a child's voice.
