Starring Kevin Spacey it details the role of a young college student who is pulled in to card counting as a way to pay for Medical School.

There's only one way to watch this film - sitting on a couch with only the television to illuminate the room. It's a brilliant film, from what I watched of it.
The film is detailed, it has some brilliant camera work, and a lot of the most interesting scenes occur in Vegas, city of lights. The film loses a great deal of visual impact in a well lit room.
As a result, it's easy to lose interest in the characters.

That said, once I started to pay attention I found I was drawn in.
