That film was certainly stunning, in a visual sense. Jim Carrey was also hilarious in it

Better than most muck around today, not hugely memorable but entertaining, the kids were pretty good at the whole acting thing.

What, Lemony Snicket, Gawd? Oh, yes, definitely worth a watch. Most definitely. I guess it may depend upon your tolerance for Jim Carrey, though. He seems to be a love-him-or-hate-him kind of actor/comedian. But I thought he was great in this role.

His schtick can wear a little thin. But this role gave him something to sink his teeth into. He hams it up big time, but I don't think he's over-the-top. I think he did a great job, and he had me laughing my ass off. The kids are great, too, and the baby is particularly funny. I've never read the books, so I can't say how the film might compare.
I think the film is definitely worthwhile. Like owtth said, though, entertaining but not hugely memorable. Certainly something of substance, as compared to most children's films, but...I dunno...maybe a little lacking somehow. But not sure exactly how

I'd have been interested in seeing him do the Joker again. With a better director.

Again I never read the books, and I quite like Jim Carrey in some of his less Ventura roles, but it had a worthwhile story and script which is sadly lacking in most popular movies [ROBOT TESTICLES/]

I just watched this last weekend. I loved the visual style, and it was a pretty good kids' film.
