Funnily enough I skipped this one when I heard people drawing comparisons to Crash.Julia wrote:Babel.

If they wanted to make a statement they should have given the best picture oscar to BrokeBack Mountain instead.Animavore wrote:Boooorrriiinnggg.Randydeluxe wrote:The over rated one that won three Oscars.Animavore wrote:Which one?Randydeluxe wrote:Crash
It seemed to me that Hollywood was trying to show how diverse and ethnically moral it was more than anything else.

I loved T2. And I'm not a big James Cameron fan or anything like some people here...*cough*...but I did love T2. Mostly because of Edward Furlong, though
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

I just remembered. Slumdog Millionaire. I only saw it a month ago on TV. It wasn't terrible or anything but boy fuck was it over-rated.

Agreed, I though it was an okay film, but no where near the hype.Animavore wrote:I just remembered. Slumdog Millionaire. I only saw it a month ago on TV. It wasn't terrible or anything but boy fuck was it over-rated.

I wonder if it was as hyped across in America?RuleBritannia wrote:Agreed, I though it was an okay film, but no where near the hype.Animavore wrote:I just remembered. Slumdog Millionaire. I only saw it a month ago on TV. It wasn't terrible or anything but boy fuck was it over-rated.
It was only hyped so much over here because it was a British film which won an Oscar and you know what the Brits are like anytime they win anything. Sure they're still going on about '66.

No I don't think he has much of a personality, or that he's very believable as an actor. Furlong, on the other hand, has a strong presence and comes across as natural and believable. I think his performance is what turned T2 into something special. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have given two shits about the film. It would have been something cool (because of the action and special effects) but ultimately forgettable (like Avatar).Arse wrote:Are you a David Caruso fan too?tattuchu wrote:NoArse wrote:You have got to be taking the piss.tattuchu wrote:I loved T2. Re: Most Over Rated
There was quite a buzz here, I suppose because it won an Oscar. I've never seen it, and honestly don't know anything about it, but I like the director's other films so I intend to pick it up at some point.Animavore wrote:I wonder if it was as hyped across in America?RuleBritannia wrote:Agreed, I though it was an okay film, but no where near the hype.Animavore wrote:I just remembered. I agree. He was natural. Not like the teenagers in most other films who have precocious morals and dignity.tattuchu wrote:There was quite a buzz here, I suppose because it won an Oscar. Teenagers are supposed to be annoying little cocky shits. And Furlong done it perfectly
