I also recommend "The Beast" - film about a Soviet T-62 and crew in the Soviet Afghanistan war.

These are more on the light side, but Men In Black was good, and has lots of aliens and guns. I also like Big Trouble in Little China, for weird, funny/stupid, and a bit of kung fu.

For lots of guns, but no aliens, I can't recommend enough The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. But it's definitely western, which isn't a problem for me, but might be for you.

Also, some people have mentioned Kill Bill, and in my humble opinion, it's hard to beat Volume One for sheer, joyful carnage. And Uma.

That's all I got, at the moment. I'll come back if I think of more.

Oh, if it's brainless eye-candy your looking for you might see Avatar - try to blank out the plot and dialogue and just enjoy the visuals.

Ignore a lot of the character and creature designs too. Quite unremarkable.

I don't know about 'ever made', but it's the greatest film I've ever seen (if we're all talking about the Tarkovsky Stalker).
