Okay, it's been a LONG time since I saw the Extras. Wee bit of detail has slipped away. It was still a nice thing for him to do. The animals were sold by "ranking choice". The more important you were, the higher your chances of getting the animal you wanted. A lowly trainer didn't have a chance to getting her horse, but Viggo was right behind the Jackson and the producers.Elessarina wrote:He bought brego for himself.. he bought he stallion the stunt arwen rider rode for flight to the ford for the stunt arwen rider womanFrigidSymphony wrote:So he bought the horse for the guy who had trained him for the movie? Shit, they must have gotten attached. That's sweet.

I love all of the movies but RotK is by far my favorite. This probably has to do with my love of Viggo and of Aragorn. I am also a huge LotR book fan but thought the movies were done very well. I was pissed that Glorfindel was never shown however.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain

They had Galadriel, Elrond, Arwen Evenstar, and what's-his-name, so there was hardly room for another elf.Pluto2 wrote:I love all of the movies but RotK is by far my favorite. I know but Arwen annoyed me. I always thought Aragorn and Legolas would make a better couple.
And I also like how Ian Mckellen would get actors to do more gayish stuff by telling them it was in the book. In the commentary he seemed very pleased with himself.

I guess my idea about sending in some of the boys from the 101st Airborne to save the day isn't going to get a good reception so?Gawdzilla wrote:klr wrote:Automatic weapons and infra-red night scopes or no? :twisted:Gawdzilla wrote:Will do!Elessarina wrote:Could one of you guys keep me up to speed with this debate on TAF? Good rule of thumb: If you're going to tell heavily armed people to do something stupid, be sure to do it by radio.klr wrote:I guess my idea about sending in some of the boys from the 101st Airborne to save the day isn't going to get a good reception so?

A quote from him springs to mind where he wanted Frodo and Sam to hold hands while Frodo while healing in Rivendale and they werent to sure about it so Ian whipped out the book and was like look its right here in the book now you have to do it!Gawdzilla wrote:Brenda thought so too.Pluto2 wrote:I know but Arwen annoyed me. Talk about hyper-focusing on a particular facet of the book.Pluto2 wrote:A quote from him springs to mind where he wanted Frodo and Sam to hold hands while Frodo while healing in Rivendale and they werent to sure about it so Ian whipped out the book and was like look its right here in the book now you have to do it!
